The company was founded by Josef Filser, a recognized expert in the hotel and real estate sector who previously held executive positions at leading real estate advisory firms.

In addition, we also evaluate mixed-use properties that incorporate other uses such as residential and commercial units.
Our focus is on existing buildings with value-add potential. These include assets with short remaining lease terms, above-market rents, or vacant possession properties.

Josef Filser is the Founder and Managing Director of Genesis Hospitality Partners GmbH, bringing over 13 years of experience in the hospitality real estate sector. He has established himself as a recognized expert in the industry, having gained valuable experience at leading real estate advisory firms such as JLL and Cushman & Wakefield (C&W).
Most recently, Josef served as Head of Hospitality for Germany and Austria at C&W, where he led all transaction and advisory processes within the hospitality sector. During his career, he successfully managed deals exceeding € 1 billion, involving both portfolio and single-asset transactions.
He holds an MBA in International Real Estate from the University of Regensburg (IREBS) and a Bachelor of Science from the EHL Hospitality Business School. His extensive market knowledge and commitment to creating sustainable value for clients are the cornerstones of Genesis Hospitality Partners success.
